yea there is speakers, but that's about it, its surprising no one has speculated on the sprung tent 2 with it having the S.I.F. put up in the entrance way.

Universal has been impressing upon us that this will be a farewell

know Universal has been impressing upon us that this will be a farewell year for many icons and traditions, and I really do hope that they stick to their guns on it. I'm all for starting fresh and wouldn't mind if Jack, the Caretaker, the Usher, the Storyteller, and the Director were put into storage for a good while. Even under-utilized icons like Mary, Eddie, Cindy, Darkness, Terra Queen, etc. should probably ake a break for now. Again, love'em all, but seeing new characters will be more exciting.

Old franchises and houses need to be concluded too. No more Psychoscareapy, Body Collectors, All Nite Die-In, Treaks, Chainsaw Drill Team, etc. Don't bring back Midway of the Bizarre, Deadtropolis, or whatever favorites fans may have.

Looking at HHNXX, there are some interesting ideas that could develop more in future years. The most obvious new franchise would most likely be the continuing story of Z-Day from Zombiegeddon and Zombie Gras. I don't immediately recall HHN having a reaccuring zombie franchise, and it seems you could imagine some good houses or zones from seeing how Z-Day has affected various parts of the country.

I'd love to see Havoc's Dogs of War take it to the streets. Give'em a scarezone!

The New Yorkshire setting from Saws 'n Steam seems like a ripe idea too. I'm not really a fan of steampunk, but making a house out of that theme could be cool.

Legendary Truth could be a neat franchise too. Not saying there will be constant haunted houses, but maybe the houses can take place in different investigations exploring bizarre phenomenon (UFOs, cryptozoology, etc.) Very X-Files like.

new icon hhn 21

I think if we get any nod towards our new icon it will be next Thursday at the VIP Lounge presentations on Icons. I don't think Fear is returning since he was mainly the tie-in for this year.

Albeit, speculation I COULD at some point see HHN using the Body Collectors as the icons but I don't think it will happen any time soon since next year I'm assuming they are still in large going for the whole "No movie houses, few (if any) sequels" approach. Since it was kinda stated that they wanted to go that route for a while.

I'd love to see these houses/scarezones from recent years get some sort of sequel (and yes I know, most of these are long shots.) Hint hint.
-Scream House (If PS gets part 4 than so should Scream House)
-Hellgate Prison
-Frightyard
-Midway of the Bizarre as a house. I can't be the only one who wants to see this.
-Deadtropolis. Street or house.
-Demon Cantina
-Terra Mines
-Nightmare on Elm Street (Still to this day one of the best houses I've been through and one of the few IP's I'd like to see return.)
-Asylum in Wonderland house (It's been done at a lot of other haunts...I know)
-Creatures
-Interstellar Terror
-Dead Exposure
-Frankenstein
-Dracula
-P.S. on the streets.
-Lights, Camera in some capacity.
-War of the Living Dead in some capacity.
-Catacombs in a soundstage
-ZGed, in the street perhaps

all i know they are cutting the budget for hhn 21 due to high budget in hhn 20 so we can thank fear for that one lol.

suspicious package from universal orlando

Another suspicious package from Universal Orlando has arrived, just in time for Halloween Horror Nights. Hmmmm, it looks like just the right size for a magical wand, but that seems bloody unlikely. Once inside, we see more of Fear himself, but first, some photos of the unveiling.

Inside the bloody box: A note introducing an image of Fear himself, along with said image. It goes beyond the mouthy image seen on the billboards to include the whole head (topped by veins or roots or worms or some combination thereof). He’s barechested but accessorizes. And he’s scarred up, including one that looks like Roman nummeral XX, as in 20, as in Halloween Horror Nights XX.

Ah, a do-it-yourself disfiguring kit. Get the look that Fear has, kids.

And detail from the other end. At least it didn’t come with dismemberment this year.
