Costume Wigs

Costume Wigs -Most people use costume wigs when they need to attend a theme party or freak out during Halloween. During such times, your costume is incomplete sans a wig. Along with beards, caps and other style additions, a wig can completely transform your look. Some of the most popular costume wigs that have a dramatic effect include pirate wigs, mermaid wigs, princess wigs, devil wigs, witch wigs and period wigs. Of course, many of these trends bear a direct relation to what is hottest in the cinema world. For instance, pirate wigs became a rage after the release of Pirates of the Caribbean.

Costume WigsOne of the best indicators of the quality of a costume wig is the price tag. You can buy costume wigs for as low as $10 and go up to several hundred dollars. If you are buying from a reputed dealer, wigs with a higher price tag will obviously be of better quality. That said, most party animals really have no need for such high quality wigs, unless they are in a competition or something. They can easily settle for good quality costume wigs too.

Costume WigsLow quality costume wigs (those that cost approximately $10) may be used once or twice only. They are made of coarse plastic fibers. These fibers may come loose any time because they are not attached securely to the scalp cap. So, you need to be very careful. Even the comb or brush you run through them must be light and occasional. But good quality costume wigs offer you good returns because you can reuse them without losing style or texture. These wigs may be made using synthetic fibers but these fibers are very fine and are securely attached to the cap. Such costume wigs may be styled and reused as needed. As the end user, you need to make a decision between buying a cheap costume wig for an emergency or a good quality wig that lasts longer.

Costume WigsCostume wigs come in a number of colors and effects. Some wigs are silver, green or multicolored. A few of them come with glitter and metallic decorations. Always select a wig that gels well with your costume and your personality.
